Situated in a 19th Century mill, we are a favorite with
locals and tourists. The Mill Top Tavern occupies the upstairs of the
building. This cool little hangout is all about the atmosphere. With its
open-air deck seating, you can enjoy the evening breeze and an excellent
view of the surrounding area. To the sides, you’ll see the bustle of
pedestrian traffic along
St. George Street and to the rear is an
excellent panorama of the
Castillo and harbor. Aged from 1888 and
listed in the historical
record.
Founded
in 1565, St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied settlement of
European origin in the United States. Forty-two years before the English
colonized Jamestown and fifty-five years before the Pilgrims landed at
Plymouth Rock, the Spanish established at St. Augustine this nation's
first enduring settlement.
The Mill Top Tavern has been one of the best known taverns of Florida
for the past 25 years. We offer daily live music and the best
atmosphere in the east Florida area. Our building is over 115
years old and still stands strong. Our staff are some of the best
